What is 5-HTP for and why should I use
it?
5-Htp is an essential amino acid that is
critical for the formation of many life-giving bio-molecules, including
structural proteins, enzymes, and the neurotransmitters, serotonin and
melatonin.
5-Htp is also the least abundant amino
acid in our diet. Because of this, 5-Htp is widely used to correct

Serotonin levels in the brain effect how we feel
on a day to day basis. When serotonin levels are low, irregular, or spiking,
the body reacts to these changes causing disorders like the list above. For
years doctors have prescribed SSRI's (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors)
to try to correct these problems. For the most part the SSRI's were ineffective
