FloraSMART™ 6 Billion is a daily maintenance probiotic
formula that supports digestive health‡. It contains 10 strains of microflora,
including Bifidobacteria, Lactobacilli, and Lactococcus cultures to support
intestinal and immune health‡.
Why is manufacturing important?
Probiotics are live microorganisms and,
as such, present challenges in maintaining quality and viability
throughout different points of manufacture and distribution. These
bacteria are susceptible to heat, moisture and air. Individually
sealing each FloraSMART tablet helps protect the probiotics from these
shipping and storage issues. Beyond manufacturing and shelf stability,
the next biggest challenge is to get the probiotics through the
stomach acid. The acids of the stomach can kill the beneficial
bacteria. It is critical that the bacteria be delivered live into the
intestinal tract. FloraSMART accomplishes this with BIO-tract™
technology.
